Hello! Welcome to Queer Counselling UK.

I’m Alison, and I believe healing can happen in relationship – through the safety of being truly seen and understood over time. I try to create a space where you can explore, grow, and heal at your own pace. I’m a member of the queer, neurodivergent, and disabled communities, so might be a bit different from other counsellors you may have met!

I welcome fidgets, stimming, comfort items, and pyjamas. Some people may choose to crochet or move freely around the room while we work. Some don’t. Either is fine!

I’m not a fan of worksheets, surface level stuff, or sticking strictly to one way of working. I trained in a flexible, inclusive way that allows me to collaborate with you to meet you exactly where you are.

I especially welcome LGBTQ+ folks who are ready to invest in themselves through sustained therapeutic work. This might mean working together to address deep patterns, navigate life transitions, or simply having a consistent place to process life as a trans, queer, or neurodivergent person. I have a lot of experience with trauma, domestic abuse, childhood sexual abuse, depression and anxiety, family problems, identity issues, and feeling stuck in life.

I’m committed to being a steady, affirming presence as you do this important work. You can click above to find out more about me as a person and the services I offer.
